Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) was proud to partner with Forrester to offer five in-person scholarships to members of our community for Security & Risk 2024, Forrester’s flagship event for cybersecurity, privacy, and risk professionals.
Held December 2024, Security & Risk 2024 brought together security and risk leaders at a pivotal time for the industry. Over the past decade, the field has seen tremendous progress—growing budgets, expanding teams, and greater influence in the boardroom. But with the emergence of artificial intelligence, post-quantum encryption, and increasingly unconventional threats, the summit underscored a critical truth: security and risk professionals must continue to innovate.
Thanks to Forrester’s generous support, five WISP scholars attended the event and gained access to more than 30 sessions, hands-on learning formats, and networking opportunities. They heard from leading experts on how to:

Dr. JenSU was eager to focus on ML/AI engineering, fortifying defense strategies in the healthcare sector, and mastering cloud security. “These skills will be pivotal as I build my consultancy business, enhancing my ability to support clients with cutting-edge cybersecurity expertise.”

Natalie was excited for the “Leadership & Strategy” sessions, she was looking forward to discussions about partnering with CIOs, and was especially thankful for the opportunities to network with women who are leading the way in security and risk areas.
