The Privacy Program Manager will work across organizational teams to help Pivotal meet its privacy obligations worldwide. This includes ensuring privacy requirements and best practices are understood, implemented, and meeting operational standards, collaborating with stakeholders to support and enhance global privacy and information governance initiatives.



The Privacy Program Manager will be part of the Pivotal Information Security Team which is made-up of individuals who understand that security and privacy, in its essence, is an opportunity to help the business succeed. On any given day, you’ll find them learning, building, mentoring, collaborating, and being extraordinarily curious, all while having a great deal of fun.  You will also work very closely with members of the Legal Department and IT Department.


Your Day

Principal responsibilities:

  • Implement Pivotal’s Privacy Framework using established industry standards.

  • Keep up to date with changing laws on Privacy that may impact Pivotal’s business and share important information with relevant stakeholders

  • Recommend and implement improvements to privacy-related policies/processes.

  • Partner with different teams across Pivotal including Legal to identify privacy requirements and operationalize relevant controls.

  • Design, deliver, and measure effectiveness of privacy training.

  • Conduct privacy self-assessments for products, services, and communications across Pivotal to comply with privacy standards and procedures.

  • Monitor the privacy program’s performance, and report progress to privacy stakeholders.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained to help ensure compliance with privacy requirements.

  • Propose new features, functionality, and tools to drive improvements into Pivotal Privacy compliance process.

  • Identify and drive escalations to privacy stakeholders and executive management as necessary.

  • Recommend and operationalize changes to records management policy and schedules.


Required Skills / Experiences

  • Experience working in Privacy-related field

  • Experience in a Legal, Consulting or Compliance role

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
