We are the Information Security team at Pivotal and we are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our small but growing group.

About the job:

The role will involve security operations work, automation, support and incident response with opportunities to participate in vulnerability management and security assessments. You will work closely with other teams at Pivotal and with vendors to help us protect our assets.

About you:

You are curious about security and technology and willing to learn. You can quickly tell if something looks out of place and can easily explain security concepts to non-technical colleagues. You can work independently and deliver results consistently.  

Experience requirements:

We would like you to have spent 5 years in technical roles. It’s good if you have experience working in a software company, but not essential. Ideally you will have worked in a security team and be familiar with widely used security technologies and common attack vectors. You should know about networking, operating systems, what cloud computing means and why storing credentials in code is a bad idea.

Some scripting experience is required. Big plus if that involved interacting with cloud applications and platforms. You have some experience responding to security incidents and are comfortable coordinating those efforts.
