ITechLaw Association (www.itechlaw.org) will hold its Annual European Conference in Dublin on October 30 to November 1. WISP is hosting a partnership breakfast event with i-WIN (the Women’s International Network) at the Shelbourne Hotel on Friday, 1 November at 7.45 am.
Speaker: Isolde Goggin
Topic: Competition and consumer protection law: challenges in digital markets
Isolde Goggin is Chairperson of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission of Ireland. Before that she was Commissioner and then Chairperson of Ireland’s Commission for Communications Regulation. She was also Director of the Regulated Markets Division at the Competition Authority. Isolde Goggin began her career in with Eircom as an engineer, and later moved into business management and then regulation, working with Eircom, DG Information Society of the European Commission and Ericsson.
Isolde Goggin holds a First Class Honours engineering degree, a Masters in Business Administration, a Postgraduate Diploma in European Competition Law, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland.
